Mrs. Sherry Hay is my mentor teacher. I will be teaching Mrs. Hay's Kindergarten class and I'll be helping kids write, sound out words using sound spelling (which is not standard spelling), giving instructions for the daily assignment, and walking the kids to P.E. The first day was awesome I was a little nervous, but after I introduced myself and got to know the kids I started to feel more comfortable and more involved in all the activities. I think this year will be fun, I can't wait for my lesson plan to teach to the kids I think it's going to be exciting.
An email from Mrs. Hay to my Education and Training teacher Mrs. Stevens:
I was really surprised when my teacher showed me this email, it made my day knowing I'm doing a good job.

Ms. Stevens:
I am writing for 2 reasons…
1 – Tara Williamson was in my room yesterday, Wednesday, Oct. 19 with all expected requirements. I didn’t have a chance to sign her form as I will explain in number 2…
2 – I want to compliment Tara on the way she jumped in to help handle my class during an episode yesterday. Near the end of her time we were headed to PE but one of my little boys had a meltdown because he was mad at another boy. He was being loud, yelling and crying. While I was trying to get him to stop yelling, Tara immediately suggested “Mrs. Hay, would you like me to get the rest of the class lined up, calling rows?” I was impressed that, only on the 2nd day in my classroom, she felt confident enough to go ahead and help with the other children. She did a great job and I am excited to have her in my classroom this year!
